One of the best ways to help animals get home faster is by sponsoring their adoption fees! While adoption fees serve two important purposes—helping our shelter recoup the cost of care and showing a financial commitment from the adopter—we recognize that the love between people and pets shouldn’t be limited by financial barriers.

Sponsoring adoption fees can make a huge difference, especially for pets who’ve been with us a little longer or face challenges finding the right family. When you sponsor an adoption fee, you’re helping reduce the cost for a future adopter, making it more likely that pet will find a loving home.

Who Benefits Most from Sponsorship?

Some animals are especially good candidates for sponsorship:

• Bonded pairs – because adopters are taking on the care of two animals at once.

• Longer-stay pets – those who have been in the shelter for a while.

• Pets with special needs or lower visibility.

 

We typically don’t recommend sponsoring high-profile animals who already have lots of interest—they’ll likely find homes quickly without extra help.
