The Callaway County Humane Society is dedicated to serving as a resource for individuals and families throughout Callaway County, helping make responsible pet ownership and compassionate resources accessible to all.

We strive to enrich the lives of both people and animals in our community by providing support through spay and neuter assistance, free pet food for families in need, emergency veterinary care assistance, educational resources, and fostering and adoption services.

At the heart of our organization is a simple but powerful belief: when we support the people in our community, we create a stronger, healthier, and more compassionate future for the animals who depend on them.

We believe that a community built on compassion, collaboration, and support is a community where everyone can thrive. By helping families care for their pets and ensuring animals have access to the resources they need, we are working toward a future where every animal has the opportunity to live a safe, healthy, and loved life.

CARE: We pledge to manage and contribute our resources to remain true to our mission. We will focus our time and and energy to achieve the greatest good, and to ensure the future of the humane society.
 
COMPASSION: Our actions and decisions are based on providing the best services to the most animals' whether that be through fostering, spay and neuter programs, or food donations. We respect the life of each individual animal, while focusing on the welfare of our volunteers, community, and the animal population as a whole.
 
COMMUNITY-FOCUSED: We enrich our community by placing safe, healthy animals in responsible, loving homes, and provide free education to the public on ways to reduce the pet population, what to do when they see animal abuse, and also safe handling of stray animals that they may come across.
 
COURTESY: We treat all persons with diginity and respect in a non-judgmental manner. The general public, our board members, and volunteers are all viewed as our partners in improving the welfare of animals, and with this fulfilling our mission.
